What we see most often

Common container issues

A container is its own piece of equipment — cooling, power distribution, and structure all fail in their own ways, separate from whatever's mining inside.

Exhaust Fans

The simple diagnosis is a fan that's visibly not spinning. It's not always the whole story.

What's actually going on

A fan that's stopped is the easy part to diagnose — you can see it. But a single dead fan can also be a symptom of a bigger issue with the container: an airflow imbalance, a failing control board driving it, or a wiring fault feeding it. We check the whole airflow path before we call it a fan replacement and move on.

Control Boards

Functions quietly reduced or missing is a more common sign than an outright failure.

What's actually going on

A failing control board rarely announces itself with one clear error. More often, common functions get reduced or go missing — a reading stops updating, a control stops responding, a feature quietly drops out. That gradual loss of function is one of the more reliable signs of a control board on its way out, well before it fails outright.

PLC

PLC errors are worth reading closely — they show what was caught, not necessarily the whole story.

What's actually going on

PLC errors show up in the logs, and those logs are genuinely useful for tracking down a problem. But a logged PLC error is often just the fault the system happened to catch — it can point toward an upstream issue that never got logged at all. We treat a PLC log entry as a starting point for diagnosis, not the full explanation.

Pump Failure

A pump failure is a heat problem before it's anything else.

What's actually going on

With a pump failure, heat stops circulating the way it should. That heat has to go somewhere, and left unaddressed it can damage the miners it was supposed to be cooling. We treat a pump issue as urgent, even if nothing else looks obviously wrong yet.
